Lynne Kaplinsky, M.D. is a board certified ophthalmologist with glaucoma sub-specialty fellowship training. She specializes in adult and pediatric comprehensive ophthalmology care including routine eye examinations, prescription of glasses, and medical care of various eye diseases including glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, and laser treatment of retinal tears.

Dr. Kaplinsky completed medical school at Albany Medical College after graduating from Williams College in Massachusetts. She completed her ophthalmology residency at University Hospital of Cleveland. She then served as a clinical glaucoma fellow at Tuft’s University/Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston. Prior to joining Hoyt Eye Care Center in 2007, Dr. Kaplinsky practiced ophthalmology in Augusta, Maine from 1997-2001, then in Rockport beginning in 2001. Dr. Kaplinsky is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Kaplinsky is a also member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Maine Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and the New England Ophthalmology Society.
